Suits Two Different Console Styles
The Oceansouth Side Console Cover has been designed to suit
two common side console configurations. It can be fitted to a fully enclosed console with a flat front or a console featuring a front cut-out or opening, giving boat owners greater flexibility when selecting a cover.
The installation method can then be adapted to suit the style of console fitted to your boat.
Integrated Clip for Cut-Out Consoles
For consoles featuring a front cut-out or opening, the cover includes an integrated clip within the elastic fastening system. The elastic cord can be pulled underneath the console and the clip connected on the opposite side, drawing the cover securely around the console.
This provides a simple alternative to installing a fastening button into the boat floor while still helping keep the lower section of the
cover securely positioned.
Quick and Secure Installation
The elasticated bungee cord sewn into the hem allows the cover to slip quickly and easily over the console while providing a snug fit around its base.
For fully enclosed consoles, the supplied buttons can be positioned where they best suit your individual console and boat layout. Simply drill and secure the buttons in place then hook the elastic cord over each button for a neat and secure installation.
For a cut-out console, the integrated clip provides another option by allowing the elastic cord to be secured underneath the console
without drilling into the floor. The installation instructions illustrate both completed configurations.
Advanced UV Protection
Manufactured from premium ATLAS Golden Range dope dyed polyester canvas, the cover provides excellent resistance to harmful UV exposure. Keeping the console covered helps reduce fading, cracking and premature deterioration of electronics, upholstery, steering wheels, gauges and console finishes.
Protect Your Investment
Side consoles contain some of the most valuable and
frequently exposed equipment on your boat. The Oceansouth Side Console Cover helps protect electronics, gauges, switches, steering components and console surfaces from UV exposure, rain, dirt, salt spray and bird droppings while keeping the helm cleaner between trips.
Helps Deter Opportunistic Theft
Covering your console keeps expensive electronics, gauges and controls out of sight when your boat is unattended. While no cover can prevent theft, concealing valuable equipment and requiring the cover to be removed before accessing the console adds an additional barrier that can help discourage opportunistic theft.
